What I enjoyed/learned about in PRCA 2330

I would have to say that I didn’t really know what to expect going into this class. And I have to say that it turned out better than I expected! I enjoyed that this class was extremely laid back, yet we still learned a lot. Professor Groover is a great professor and did not only teach the class but also made it fun and actually enjoyable to come. The class was definitely not ever boring and she made sure of that. She was always up for discussion and liked that the class liked to participate. She never just lectured but wanted the class to get into what was going on and state their opinion no matter what it was. It was not unusual for a student to blurt something out in class or say something that everyone would just say “WOW” about haha. I really learned a lot about PR that I did not know before and definitely learned that there was a lot more to it than I expected. This class really made me realize that I love my major and it is definitely something that I want to make a career out of. I think that Professor Groover prepared us for the future and for the remainder of our college career. I would definitely recommend her and this class to others! But I do have to say that I am soooo happy that summer is almost here :) :)

Summer…get here…FAST!…but then be a Senior :(

I cannot believe that we only have a week in a half of school left and then finals. Where has my three years of college gone??! As much as I want summer to get here…very fast, I do not want to be a senior. I will be taking classes this summer, which really isn’t that bad..but then graduate in a year? NO THANKS! College has been the best experience of my life so far and I cannot think about what I am going to do when these years are over. The friends I have made and as much as I have grown here at Georgia Southern is amazing. I really do not want to get a real job and get out in the real world and try to make a living. I would rather be here in school, taking classes, and keep making my parents pay for everything! ha. I know it will come to an end soon, so I am going to keep living it up and pray that summer is a blast and the next school year goes by verrrry slow! :)

Movies

Some of my favorite movies are Sweet Home Alabama, Steel Magnolias, Twilight series, and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. But my most favorite movie of all time is The Notebook. (Yes, I like chick flicks). I love The Notebook because it is such a sweet story and is also very interesting and never gets old. I have probably seen that movie 100 times and could still watch it every night before I go to bed. It is a movie that will make you keep watching and where you would never want to miss a scene. Also, if you ever need a good cry, to just let out some emotions, this is the perfect movie for you. I don’t really know why I like chick flicks so much, but scary and dramatic movies just really don’t interest me. Give me a good love story, or something that is girly in general and I am sure that I will love it.

Music

I love music. And I love all types of music too. My favorite would have to be country, rap, and pop. Whenever I am feeling down or upset I like to listen to slower songs that have insiration to them, like country songs do. When I am about to go out, am very happy, or just hanging out with my friends and in a very good mood I like to listen to upbeat, fast music such as rap and pop. Some of my favorite artists are Jason Aldean, Tim McGraw, Gary Allan, Lady Antebellum, Kenny Chesney, and so many more that I can name. Some of my favorite rap and pop singers are Lil’ Wayne, Beyonce, Jay Z, Justin Bieber, and also many more in this category that I could name. I think that music can soothe people and actually help their mood. Also, I know it does this to me, it can help you when youre sad or upset, or maybe even going through a hard time in life. Music to me is sometimes like therapy. It can get you through anything, just listen to the music! :)

Reality TV Shows

I hate to admit it, but I do love watching reality television shows. As fake, dramatic, and so stupid they really are, I really do love them. They provide so much entertainment and give people something to talk about. Some of my favorite reality television shows are the Bachelor/Bachelorette, Teen Mom, The Real World, True Life, The Real Housewives, and Keeping Up With the Kardashians. These shows give my friends and I something to do and also a lot to talk about. Most people think they are so fake and stupid but they actually kind be pretty interesting. It’s funny too how most of the people actually become “famous” and end up doing many more things in their future just because they were casted on a reality tv show. So if you are one of those people that hate on these shows, give them a try, sit down and watch and you actually might find your favorite television show!

SBX!

For Spring Break 2010 I went to Key West Florida. It was definitely a new experience! I felt like it was Statesboro in Florida. There were so many Georgia Southern students, but so much fun! Every day we would lay by the pool, go to the beach, and one day even went on a snorkeling/booze cruise. It was the best day ever! We got to ride on a boat, see some pretty fish, and have a few drinks to make it even better. It was pretty every day except for one morning, and we even got to spend St.Patrick’s Day in the Keys! We would go out at night and see the nightlife of Key West, which I would say is very…interesting. haha. It was definitely a great experience with great friends that I would enjoy to do again. I can’t believe it’s over and we are back at school… :(

Olympics

Many people will probably be shocked or judgemental about this, but I do not watch the Olympics. I do not enjoy it, and would rather watch something else than all the events that go on. I just do not find it very entertaining and is not something I would like to do in my free time. I do not know if it is because I am not very athletic, and did not play sports in highschool, or what but it is just not my favorite. I never once turned it on this year and even if one of my friends, or a restaurant had it on I would pay no attention to it. When I was younger I loved the ice skating and gymnastics, but as I have gotten older I have lost much interest in it. Although, I do think that if I actually sat down and gave it a chance I might enjoy some of the events, but if I had to choose, that is not something that I would do. So, don’t judge me, but personally, I just do not care about the Olympics.

Hobbies and past times

Some of my favorite hobbies are going out with friends, doing things on the computer, and reading good books that don’t have to do with school when I get free time. There are many other things that I like to do, but these are definitely my favorite. I like anything that has to do with people and activites outside or just big groups of people getting together and just hanging out. And of course like basically any other college student, I love the computer. Getting on Facebook and just surfing the web is very entertaining to me. I do not get a lot of time to read, but when I was home for Thanksgiving and Christmas break, when I had the free time I read some good books. I do not like being told what to read, so if it is anything that does not have to do with school I will read it!
Some of my favorite past times would probably have to be when my whole family would go to the beach together when I was younger. Every summer my grandparents would rent the same beach house and they would stay in the bottom portion, then my family and my moms sisters family would all stay in the upper part. We would usually go for about a week and two and it was just so much fun! So many memories were made :)

My Future Plans

???? Future plans????? I really did not want to think about this anytime soon, but looks like I am about to have to. To tell the truth I don’t ever want to grow up or graduate but it looks like it’s here. Today it came to reality when I actually had to fill out my clear of graduation form…and I must say I did not think that it was very fun. I still am undecided wether I want to go ahead and get my masters, or try to look for a job and get my masters later on in life. My major is PR and I am very interested in event planning, so I would like to do something with that. I either want to move back to my hometown, which is Macon, or go to a bigger city like Atlanta. I guess it just depends on where I find a job and where my thoughts are in a year. Like other people I do not have a certain plan that I am trying to follow, I just plan to graduate and see what jobs I can get from there. But I am still not excited about it…

The Most Important People in my Life

I have five very important people in my life. They are my mom, aunt, uncle, and grandparents. My mom is a single parent and has done nothing less than try to give my sister and I everything that we could possibly need and want. She tries so hard to make sure that we can have the best life possible. She is the strongest and most independent person that I know. I truely do not know what I would do without her. She is not only my mother but also one of my best friends. The other two people are my aunt (my mom’s twin) and my uncle. They are basically my second set of parents and my uncle is basically a dad to me. They do so much for my mother, me, and my sister and are also so much fun to hang out with! We live about 5 miles away from each other and visit, eat dinner, and do things together very often. They are so caring and thoughtful and mean the world to me. Lastly, is my grandparents (my mom’s parents). If it wasn’t for them I would not be where I am today. They have put my sister and I through school and have helped my mom give us everything we could possibly need. Without them I would not be where I am today. My grandmother is so sweet and thoughtful and would do anything for anyone. My granddad is funny, witty and one of the smartest people I know. Without any of these five people my life would not be the same. They are all my rock and support me in more ways than I could ever thank them for. They are not only my family but my best friends and I love each of them more than I could ever explain to anyone.
